St. Patricks Day

I have been telling Tanner about "Green Day" all month and he was pretty excited for it. We have a calendar we mark off each day so it was fun to talk about it in the the days leading up to it. He picked out his green shirt and even got some fun knick knacks at preschool so it made it even more fun!

We had green pancakes and eggs for breakfast

Dave wore his "wedding" tie. . comes in handy once a year!

Our "Green" Dinner
Pesto Tilapia, green apples, green jello, broccoli, and spinach cheese tortellini
Lincoln loved everything; Tanner only ate apples and jello

We told the boys that a leprechaun left a "surprise" for them and sent them on a scavenger hunt. Each clue had a gold coin and the "surprise" was mint chocolate chip ice cream. Tanner still talks about how the leprechaun left him ice cream.

This is an outfit Aunt Melanie gave to Lincoln when he was a baby and it worked perfectly for  Russell today!

Our other tradition is to finish the day with a green "jello" bath. The boys loved it!

  1. How fun! My kids still remember the year the leprechauns terrorized our house while we were at church (thanks to you and Dave). :) I've come to really enjoy St. Patrick's Day!
