This was my first year I did a silent movie recital for my students. A teacher in UMTA (Utah Music Teachers Association) presented on how she did it and it looked so fun. The students were the soundtrack to an old Buster Keaton film "One Week." It was about 22 minutes long so each of my students had three different 1 minute segments. They picked the songs they thought fit the music and we arranged for two pianos to be in the library for easier transitions. It was a hit for the kids and parents! I look forward to doing it again next year.
